NSA cyber chief huddles
with international bankers

America's top cyber warrior was a special guest of the world's power elite at a secrecy-shrouded conference in Virginia.

National Security Agency Director Keith B. Alexander wore his other hat of commander of the U.S. Cyber Command while attending the Bilderberg Conference in Chantilly, Va., over the weekend.

In a scenario that has long worried cyber security experts, therecently discovered Flame cyberspying tool is "a man-in-the-middle attack that allows someone to impersonate Microsoft Update to deliver malware — disguised as legitimate Microsoft code — to unsuspecting users," reports Wired's Threat Level blog.

The Flame cyberspy weapon has been infecting machines -- possibly for the past several years -- primarily in the Middle East and is believed to have been crafted by a nation-state, Threat Level and other media have reported.

Cyber security is a big thorn in the side of the world's financial sector, particularly considering the already shaky situation in financial markets brought about by heavy computerized trading. Others joining international bankers, finance ministers and favored politicians were Eric E. Schmidt, executive chairman of Google Inc., Craig J. Mundie, chief research and strategy officer for Microsoft Corp. and Neelie Kroes, the digital agenda chief for the European Commission. Google and Microsoft have experienced very grave security breaches in the last several years, with the finger of suspicion pointing at hackers working for Chinese government units.

Also on hand among the security experts was President Obama's national security adviser, Thomas E. Donilon, as well as U.S. Senator John Kerry and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels.  Pascal Lamy, director general of the World Trade Organization, was also an invitee.

Bilderberg Conference participants are sworn to secrecy. However, the purpose of the secrecy is not to hide anything from various governments, but to hide discussions from the public, who might object to the globalist maneuverings. A number of Russian politicians were present, along with China's vice minister of foreign affairs, Ying Fu. Evidently, the globalist agenda includes the communist point of view.

The aging David Rockefeller, a major patron of the Bilderberg and other "one world" groups, was not listed among "final participants" by the Bilderberg secretariat, though his protege Henry Kissinger was said to have shown up.

A number of prominent media people, including Donald E. Graham, publisher and chief executive officer of the Washington Post, were on the Bilderberg guest list. They attend under an agreement not to inform their viewers and readers about the discussions. What is the point of their presence? They are expected to promote globalist propaganda aims, according to critics.

The Post, perhaps prompted by a report in the Washington Times, ran a feature story on protests by "conspiracy theorists," but honored the conference's desire to avoid leaked information. In this respect, the conference is far more successful than the U.S. government.

Though Alex Jones's sites, PrisonPlanet and InfoWars, gave considerable attention to the conference and protests led by Jones, a search of Google shows that Bilderberg coverage was scant in business-controlled media. The few stories that did appear in corporate media either gave token coverage or took an "all this is great fun" tone while saying nothing of substance, thus lending substance to the charge that the media of America and other nations are not independent.

Media people huddling with the secretive globalists included Enis Berberoğlu, editor-in-chief, Hürriyet newspaper, Turkey;  Oscar Bronner, publisher, Der Standard Medienwelt, Austria;
Lilli Gruber, anchorwoman, La 7 TV, Italy;  Erik Izraelewicz, CEO of Le Monde, France; Peggy Noonan, columnist for The Wall Street Journal; Martin H.  Wolf, chief economics commentator for Britain's The Financial Times; and Pietro Supino, chairman and publisher, Tamedia AG, Switzerland.

Other media people: Charlie Rose of public television's Charlie Rose interview show; Matthias Nass, chief International correspondent, Die Zeit, Germany; Richard N. Perle, resident fellow, American Enterprise Institute, and a longtime journalist; John Micklethwait, editor-in-chief of The Economist, Britain; and Juan Luis Cebrián, CEO of the Spanish media group PRISA and chairman of the newspaper El País.

Handling internal reporting were two journalists for the Economist: Vendeline von Bredow, business correspondent, and Adrian D. Wooldridge, foreign correspondent.
