Martial law at the G20

It is often useful to get reports from groups with agendas with which one doesn't agree.  The Trotskyist philosophy is not at all my cup of tea. But, give respect where respect is due.

In my estimate, their news accounts tend to be accurate and competent, and they say things others may think but have a hard time saying aloud.

A case in point is their account of the use of martial law to suppress protest at the G20 summit. Rather than putting the focus on the "black bloc" of violent protesters, the Canadian authorities seem to have decided that they didn't want any disturbance of the meeting.

Journalists were beaten and detained by police, and freedom of expression was violated at the G20 summit, Canadian journalists assert.
