Polled Americans rank Paul
first in the Republican field
Found somewhere on the internet:

"Why Ron Paul, elderly libertarian crank, turns young voters on
,
Grist Magazine"

The above is typical spin directed against Paul. However, a CNN/ORC International poll reveals that Americans rank Paul as the best candidate in the Republican field, though he still trails President Obama's approval numbers.

Paul's approval rating was 42%, ahead of Romney at 34% and Santorum at 31%, with Gingrich down to 25%. Obama was far ahead with a 53% rating.

In other words, Americans see Paul as the most electable of all Republican candidates. Could he overcome Obama's strong polling lead? Experience shows that as the general election draws near, polling numbers tend to tighten up.

Remember, many thought that Obama, as an African American, was unelectable. Mario Cuomo once said anyone who wasn't caught carrying a body in a bag on election eve could be elected. He was speaking of the "unelectable" Bill Clinton.

Considering the great advances in health care in recent years, it is certainly conceivable that Paul will maintain his youthful strength and vigor over the next presidential term.
